Will it Play?

October 28, 2013

Most people know you can play Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder in Roll20, sure. But sometimes folks see the name “Roll20” and assume we’re just here for d20-based games, even though that’s never been our intention.

We’ve always tried to be system agnostic by implementing dice mechanics and resources for games that we the developers had never personally played in an attempt to support as many systems as possible. As more and more users have joined the community, they’ve brought with them a plethora of favorite games to the table with the question, “Will It Play?” and we’ve decided to try and find out ourselves.

While it might be easier for us as developers to think that our virtual tabletop supports the most popular games and that’s enough, we think one of our best features is allowing gamers to come together and play a game they might not be able to find the players for in their physical location. So no matter the content of your dice pool, know that we’re continually trying to make certain that your favorite game can be played via Roll20.
