Developer Spotlight
Hi rollers, here’s what’s new in the Tech Corner.
On the Production Server
-
Changes to the in-app Compendium so that URL links to Compendium entries open in-app, instead of directing you to the external Compendium.
-
New card dealing options to deal cards to either just players online, or all players in the game.
-
Voting forums have their preferred viewing preferences remembered and used even when previewing from the main forum page.
-
Patch for White Plume mountain fixing PC visible traps and other minor issues.
-
Add-ons overhaul including, a better patching system for updating changes to add-ons after they’re released.
-
Addons that bring in characters/NPCs with the same name will no longer conflict with each other.
-
Bugfix: Fixed an issue where certain add-ons were overwriting the game’s existing Rollable Tables.
-
Bugfix: Forum searches were previously returning deleted results that could not be read. This has now been fixed.
-
Bugfix: Forum search results were returning deformed permalink URLs that weren’t actually working. This has also been fixed.
On the Development Server
-
Back end changes to character sheets and compendiums to pave the way for future content.
Polish and bug fixes are still the name of the game this week at Roll20. We’ve been jamming on the first steps of several new large projects in between or best attempts at fixing bugs. The team is picking up pace on improvements and I’m looking forward to what the next quarter offers.
