The Roll20 Team
I’ve been working on Roll20 for more than five years now, and in that time it’s grown from a tiny side project started by three friends into something truly amazing. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that we would reach a point where more than two million people were playing on the platform that we created in our spare time so our friends could enjoy D&D online together. This journey has impacted my life in a tremendous way, and I thank you for the opportunity.
However, the time has come for me to take a step back from my day-to-day role as Lead Designer. Our goal of making Roll20 a sustainable business has clearly been achieved, and so I find that my coding drive is drawn toward the challenge of creating something new.
Roll20 will not be resting on its laurels. Nolan remains on in the day-to-day running company operations and Steve will be taking over as Lead Designer of Roll20 to head up the programming team. Both have been ably fulfilling those roles behind the scenes for many months now. Additionally, I remain on the Board of Managers along with Nolan and Richard. I will still be around to offer advice or answer questions, and you’ll still see me pop up from time-to-time on the forums.
I’m incredibly excited to see what the entire Roll20 team has in store for the future of the platform, and I look forward to the day when there are millions more Roll20 players that have used the platform to connect with friends and family around the world.
